AAA: Fresno Grizzlies (73-54) won 9-2 (BOX SCORE)

Fresno offense had a good showing last night. Mayfield got the scoring started with a solo HR in the first, his 15th of the season. In the 2nd inning, Fresno put up 3 more runs on a Stubbs sac fly, De Goti sac fly, and Straw RBI single. They would add 3 more runs in the 3rd on a Davis 3 run HR, his 16th of the season. Armenteros got the start and while he allowed just 2 runs in 5.2 innings, he also walked 5. Fresno would add 2 more in the 6th on a Reed sac fly and another run scoring on an error. Ferrell relieved Armenteros and was great striking out 4 over 2.1 scoreless innings. Ramsey closed it out with a scoreless 9th.

Note: Davis is hitting .470 with 8 HR, 20 RBI over his last 9 games.


AA: Corpus Christi Hooks (76-49) lost 3-2 (BOX SCORE)

Bostick started for the Hooks and pitched well allowing 1 run over 5 innings. The Hooks got on the board with 2 runs in the 5th with Rojas and Quintana RBI doubles. Midland tied it up at 2 in the 8th and scored a run in the 10th to win it 3-2. The offense struggled after that 5th inning.

Note: Bostick has a 3.52 ERA with 86 K in 87 innings this season.


A+: Buies Creek Astros (71-53) won 5-4 (BOX SCORE)

Bukauskas started and pitched well again tossing 5 scoreless innings with 7 strikeouts. De La Cruz put the Astros on the board with a 2 run double in the first inning. Shaver added a solo HR in the 4th inning to make it 4-0. Sanabria relieved JB and allowed 3 runs over 2 inning. McKee came on and allowed a run in the 8th as Carolina tied it but would keep it tied at 4 until the 10th. In the bottom of the 10th, Matijevic won it on a walk-off RBI single.

Note: Bukauskas has a 0.78 ERA with 23 K in 23 innings for Buies Creek.


A: Quad Cities River Bandits (73-55) won 6-1 (BOX SCORE)

Garcia started for Quad Cities and was solid going 5 innings allowing just 1 run. The River Bandits scored 2 runs in the 2nd with both runs scoring on an error. They picked up 4 more in the 3rd on a Sierra 2 run single and Papierski 2 run HR. The bullpen was great with Castellanos striking out 4 over 2 perfect innings and Mushinski striking out 5 over 2 scoreless innings to close it out.

Note: Mushinski has a 0.93 ERA with 42 K in 29 innings over his last 10 outings.
