AAA: Fresno Grizzlies (63-46) lost 5-2 (BOX SCORE)

Sneed started for the Grizzlies last night and struggled a bit allowing 3 runs and walking 5 over 5 innings. Fresno picked up 2 runs in the 4th on a Tanielu 2 run HR. The offense was unable to score again even though they had 12 hits and 3 walks. Emanuel allowed 2 runs in relief. Perez and Ramsey had scoreless outings but the Grizzlies lost 5-2.

Note: Stubbs is hitting .393 over his last 8 games.


AA: Corpus Christi Hooks (68-41) won 3-2 (BOX SCORE)

The Hooks starters have been great recently and Hartman continued that trend last night allowing 2 runs over 7 innings while striking out 11. The Hooks picked up a run in the first inning on a Wrenn sac fly. They got another run in the 3rd on a Cesar solo HR, his 10th of the season. The game would go to extra innings tied 2-2. In the bottom of the 10th, Sierra came through with a walk-off sac fly to win it 3-2.

Note: Hartman has a 2.87 ERA with 24 BB/114 K in 97.1 innings this season.


A+: Buies Creek Astros (60-48) lost 2-1 (BOX SCORE)

Buies Creek got on the board in the first inning on a solo HR from Julks. They would maintain that 1-0 lead for the first 8 innings thanks to a stellar performance from Bailey. Bailey went 8 innings allowing 1 hit and no runs while striking out 8. Unfortunately, Wilmington rallied for 2 runs in the 9th and won by a score of 2-1.

Note: Bailey has a 1.63 ERA with 60 K in 55.1 innings over his last 10 outings.


A: Quad Cities River Bandits (60-48) won 9-1 (BOX SCORE)

Solis got the start for Quad Cities last night and pitched well allowing just 1 run over 5.2 innings. The Quad Cities offense came out swinging scoring one in the first and one in the second on a Sierra solo HR. They would score 4 more in the 3rd on a Costes solo HR, Shaver 2 run double, and Angarita solo HR. Castro added a 2 run single in the 5th to make it 8-1. Sierra would add a second solo HR in the 7th to cap the scoring. Sandoval closed the game out with 3.1 scoreless innings.

Note: Solis has a 2.79 ERA over his last 10 outings.
