Tucker connected on a 2 run HR in the 7th after a Tanielu RBI double. The bullpen was solid but the early deficit was too much to overcome.

AA: Corpus Christi Hooks (53-30) won 3-0 (BOX SCORE)

Whitley started for the Hooks but only lasted 0.2 innings before being pulled due to an oblique injury. He was relieved by Blanco who tossed 4 no hit innings with 8 strikeouts in his AA debut. Alvarez got the Hooks on the board in the first inning with an RBI single. The Hooks picked up another run in the 4th on a Birk sac fly. Alvarez added another RBI single in the 5th to make it 3-0. Winkelman closed the game out with 4.1 scoreless innings.

A+: Buies Creek Astros (48-36) won 6-1 (BOX SCORE)

Sandoval has been rolling lately and last night was no different as he tossed 5 scoreless innings allowing just 1 hit with 9 strikeouts. The offense got on the board in the first inning on a Toro RBI double. They picked up 2 more runs in the 2nd on a Robinson RBI double and Bohanek RBI single. In the 8th inning, Toro and Duarte added solo HRs for a little insurance. Saldana allowed a run over 3 innings and Ramirez tossed a scoreless 9th to close it.
