Pitching Matchup

RHP Justin Verlander (9-4, 2.12 ERA, 144 SO) vs. LHP Carlos Rodón (1-3, 4.55 ERA, 22 SO)

After entering the White Sox organization as a highly touted pitching prospect, Carlos Rodon has not had the major league success that many around Chicago would have liked to see thus far. With that being said, in his four career starts against the Houston Astros, the young left-hander has only surrendered eight total runs in four games started while striking out 20. These are not the type of numbers that will intimidate Astros fans or award him the "Astros Killer" honor, but his success against at least above average Astros lineups since 2015 is certainly worth mentioning.
