Thornton got the start and dominated striking out 10 over 5 innings while allowing just 1 run. Mayfield got the scoring started with a solo HR in the 2nd. The Grizzlies scored 4 runs in the 4th on a Tanielu RBI single, Stubbs 2 run double, and Straw RBI single. White added a solo HR in the 7th, his 14th of the season. A White RBI groundout and Fisher RBI single capped the scoring for the Grizzlies. Giles, Guduan, and Deetz closed it out with scoreless outings.

Corpus Christi picked up 2 runs in the 7th on a Benedetti 2 run HR and another in the 8th on on a Sierra groundout. Unfortunately, they couldn’t get anything else going and lost 8-4.
