James started for Fresno and had an interesting state line. He struck out 12 over 5 innings while allowing just 1 hit, but he allowed 3 runs and walked 4. The offense was only able to pick up one run in the first inning on a Davis sac fly. They had 10 hits and 4 walks but were 0-for-9 with RISP. Also, Tucker was tossed early in the game for arguing balls and strikes.

Martin got the start and was very good allowing 1 earned run over 6 innings of work. Pineda would add another HR, this time a 2 runs shot to make it 5-2. Smith and Winkelman had scoreless outings in relief to close it out.
