AAA: Fresno Grizzlies (52-39) lost 8-7 (BOX SCORE)

Fresno fell behind early as Hauschild allowed 3 runs in the first inning as he retired just one batter. Fresno tied it up in the 2nd getting 3 runs on a Stubbs RBI single and Tanielu 2 run single. Tacoma responded with 4 runs over the 3rd and 4th inning but Fresno would tie it again scoring 4 runs in the 5th on a Tanielu RBI single and Fisher 3 run HR. Tacoma picked up a run in the 8th to take an 8-7 lead and Fresno went down in order in the 9th as they lost 8-7.

Note: Deetz has 27 K in 13.2 innings this season.


AA: Corpus Christi Hooks (59-31) won 2-1 (BOX SCORE)

Valdez started for the Hooks and was very good tossing 6 shutout innings while striking out 10. Corpus Christi picked up 1 run in the first inning on a Rojas sac fly. They added an insurance run in the 7th on a Quintana RBI double. Scheetz allowed a run after relieving Valdez but Ferrell was able to come on in the 9th and get the last out to pick up the save.

Note: Valdez has a 2.88 ERA with 14 BB/57 K in 50 IP over his last 10 outings.


A+: Buies Creek Astros (52-40) lost 7-6 (BOX SCORE)

Tough loss for Buies Creek. They got on the board in the first inning on a Dawson RBI single, but Winston-Salem responded with 3 of their own. That is all Javier would allowed though as he went 7 innings and struck out 8. Buies Creek countered with 3 runs in the 2nd inning on a Matijevic 3 run HR. Dawson added a solo HR in the 3rd to make it 5-3. A Duarte RBI single in the 7th put Buies Creek up 6-3. Winston-Salem would rally though scoring 3 runs off of Balaguer to tie it in the 9th and 1 run in the 10th to walk if off.

Note: Javier has 108 K in 79.2 innings this season.


A: Quad Cities River Bandits (51-40) lost 6-5 (BOX SCORE)

Rosado started for Quad Cities and lasted only 2 innings as he allowed 3 runs. The River Bandits picked up 2 in the 6th on a Costes solo HR and Schreiber RBI double. They would get 2 more in the 8th on a Shaver 2 run HR to tie the game at 4. The game would go to extra innings and the River Bandits picked up a run in the 10th on a Taylor RBI single. Unfortunately, Dayton scored 2 in the 9th on an error to walk it off and win 6-5.
