Roster Move: Ken Giles Optioned, Cionel Perez Recalled

It’s been a bumpy month for Giles, but hopefully he can get things squared away with some time out of the spotlight. Meanwhile it will be interesting to see what lefty Perez can show at the Major League level. Perez repertoire features a lively low-mid 90’s fastball, a hard and tight slider, and a reliable change up. Last night he allowed 2 hits and 2 walks in 1.2 innings of work, but also got his first two career strikeouts.
