Pitching Matchup

LHP Mike Minor (4-4, 5.76 ERA, 52 SO) vs. RHP Charlie Morton (7-1, 2.84 ERA, 92 SO)

The Houston Astros will look for Charlie Morton to rebound tonight after his worst start of the 2018 season last Sunday night against the Red Sox. In order to do so, Morton will have to be sharp early and find command of the strike zone with both his fastball and off-speed pitches before having to play from behind.

Today's Lineups

Interesting to note that the Astros are willing, for tonight at least, to let a left-handed batter in Tony Kemp start tonight while resting their other two left-handed hitters, veterans Josh Reddick and Brian McCann. Perhaps the club is just letting those two guys return slowly from their respective injuries, but this is a development that is worth monitoring right now.
