Pitching Matchup
RHP Doug Fister (1-6, 4.13 ERA, 38 SO) vs. Justin Verlander (7-2, 1.24 ERA, 104 SO)
Two former teammates face off tonight as Fister and Verlander were once on the same Detroit Tigers pitching staff. Tonight, Verlander will look to continue his success against the Rangers as the Astros ace already has 23 strikeouts in 20 innings against Arlington while only allowing two earned runs.
Today's Lineups
Still no Carlos Correa for the Houston Astros as the young shortstop is now missing his second consecutive game with soreness in his right side. The Astros do not believe that Correa's injury is serious but are being cautious and will not know more about his status until Correa swings a bat. However, Brian McCann is back in the lineup tonight after being activated from the 10-day disabled list.
