Pitching Matchup

RHP/LHP Tampa Bay Rays Bullpen (22.5% K%, 8.6% BB%, 3.69 ERA) vs. RHP Gerrit Cole (9-1, 2.56 ERA, 146 SO)

The Rays are using their "Opener" strategy again in tonight's game as Wilmer Font gets the start for Tampa but who knows how many innings he'll actually pitch. For the Astros, Gerrit Cole looks to build off a strong start Sunday in which he caught a case of "death by foul ball". Cole will look to continue to rack up the strikeouts tonight, as the veteran right-hander already has 146 strikeouts on the year in only 105.2 innings pitched.
