Pitching Matchup

RHP Charlie Morton (9-1, 2.74 ERA, 109 SO) vs. LHP Ryan Borucki (0-0, 0.00 ERA, 0 SO)

Despite a rough last few starts, Charlie Morton's numbers on the 2018 season are still impressive. In only 88.2 innings pitched, Morton has racked up 109 strikeouts and his WHIP still rests at a solid 1.13. Hopefully the Game 7 hero will be able to bounce back tonight and regain his form from April and May.

On the other side, Blue Jays LHP Ryan Borucki is making his major-league debut after spending six years in the minor leagues. The scouting report on Borucki is that he does not have overpowering stuff, so he's a lot like Dallas Keuchel in that when he's on, he's commanding his pitches well on both sides of the plate and getting hitters to chase at his off-speed pitches. He'll have a tough test for his major league debut, as the Houston Astros offense is slugging for a 122 wRC+ so far this season against left-handed pitchers.
