Pitching Matchup

LHP Sean Manaea (4-3, 1.63 ERA, 42 SO) vs. RHP Lance McCullers Jr. (4-1, 3.73 ERA, 49 SO)

Young Astros right-handed hurler Lance McCullers will look to bounce back from a very weird last start agains the Yankees, as he struggled early but then somehow found a way to pitch seven full innings in a game where many bounces did not go his way.

The result was not pretty the last time the Astros faced Sean Manaea, as the newest (solo) member of the No Hitter club shut down the Astros lineup in Minute Maid Park. Tonight, the team will need the whole lineup to produce in order to be successful and even come close to their performance from last night.
