AAA: Fresno Grizzlies (15-8) lost 7-3 (BOX SCORE)

Fresno fell behind early as the starter, Mike Hauschild, allowed 4 runs, 3 earned in 5 innings of work. The offense would put together a little rally in the 5th picking up 3 runs on a Reed 2 run HR and another run scoring on an error to make it 4-3. The offense was unable to get anything else going and the bullpen allowed Tacoma to tack on some insurance as they pulled away and won 7-3.

Note: Reed has 3 HR and 9 RBI over his last 8 games.

AA: Corpus Christi Hooks (14-8) won 6-1 (BOX SCORE)

Fresh off his Texas League pitcher of the week honors, Cionel Perez put together another strong outing. He went 4.2 innings allowing 1 unearned run while picking up 5 strikeouts. The Hooks tied the game at one in the 4th and the game stayed tied at 1 until the 6th. In the 6th the Corpus Christi offense exploded for 5 runs thanks to a Randy Cesar 3 run HR and Myles Straw 2 run triple. Nunn relieved Perez tossing 4.1 scoreess innings to close it.

Note: Cesar is hitting .412 with 8 RBI over his last 9 games.

A+: Buies Creek Astros (16-7) won 9-4 (BOX SCORE)

Buies Creek just keeps on rolling. Jorge Alcala got the start and was solid going 4 shutout innings with 4 strikeouts. Rojas got the Astros on the board in the first inning with an RBI double. In the 3rd, Buies Creek would pick up 4 runs on a Trompiz 2 run single and 2 runs scoring on an error. They picked up 3 more runs in the 4th on a Josh Rojas RBI single and Toro 2 run double. The bullpen allowed a few runs but the initial deficit was too much for Frederick to overcome.

Note: Rojas is hitting .387 with 7 2B, 6 RBI over his last 8 games.

A: Quad Cities River Bandits (10-11)

Game 1 - lost 2-1 (BOX SCORE)

Quad Cities got 1 run in the first on a Tovalin RBI single but that is all they would get in this one. Luis Garcia got the start in this one and pitched well allowing 2 runs, 1 earned over 5.1 innings but the offense was unable to score as they dropped this one 2-1.

Note: Garcia has a 0.68 ERA with 20 K in 14.1 innings this season.

Game 2 - won 4-1 (BOX SCORE)

Game 2 was a bit better. Cristian Javier made the start and picked up 8 strikeouts over 5 innings allowing just 1 run. The River Bandits got two in the 4th on a Julks RBI double and De La Cruz RBI single. Arauz added some insurance with a 2 run HR in the 5th to make it 4-1. Sanabria closed the game out with 2 scoreless innings.

Note: Javier has a 1.69 ERA with 25 K in 16 innings this season.
