MLB: Houston Astros-Media Day Steve Mitchell-USA TODAY Sports

AAA: Fresno Grizzlies (14-6) won 10-0 (BOX SCORE)

Another dominating performance for Fresno, who are off to a great start. Sneed made the start for the Grizzlies and conitnued his solid pitching tossing five shutout innings. Stubbs got the Grizzlies on the board in the second with a sac fly. In the 4th, Fresno scored 3 runs on a Stubbs RBI double and Mayfield 2 run single. The Grizzlies would put the game out of reach in the 5th scoring 6 runs on a Tucker 2 run single, Reed 2 run triple, Davis groundout and Kemp RBI single. The bullpen was solid going four scoreless innings to close it.

Note: Stubbs is hitting .400 with 10 RBI over his last 10 games.


AA: Corpus Christi Hooks (12-7) won 4-3 (BOX SCORE)

Dykxhoorn, who is off to a nice start in 2018, got the start for the Hooks last night and pitched well going five shutout innings allowing just 1 hit. The Hooks jumped out to an early 2-0 lead on RBI singles from Tanielu and Cesar. Alvarez played add on in the 3rd connecting on a solo HR, his 4th of the season. DeGoti added an RBI double in the 4th to make it 4-0. Midland put together a rally in the 9th scoring 3 runs but Feldmann came in and picked up the last out to seal the win.

Note: Dykxhoorn has a 1.53 ERA with 17 K in 17.2 innings this season.


A+: Buies Creek Astros (14-6) won 3-2 (BOX SCORE)

LaRue got the start for Buies Creek last night and pitched well again allowing just 1 hit and 1 run in 6 innings of work. LaRue has a 0.46 ERA with 20 K in 19.2 innings this season. Buies Creek tied the game up at 1 on a Robinson RBI groundnut in the 5th. The game would stay tied at 1 until the 10th when Down East picked up a run to take a 2-1 lead. In the bottom of the 10th, Toro connected on a walk-off 2 run HR, his 3rd HR of the season. Ferrell was very good in relief tossing 3 no hit innings with 7 strikeouts.

A: Quad Cities River Bandits (7-10) won 10-5 (BOX SCORE)

Sandoval had a bounce back outing yesterday tossing 5 scoreless innings with 7 strikeouts. The River Bandits got on the board in the 5th on a Meyers RBI groundout but quickly fell behind 5-1. They would rally for 6 runs in the 7th though on a Tovalin solo HR, Almonte sac fly, Arauz 2 run triple, and De La Cruz 2 run single. They got some insurance in the 8th on an Adams solo HR and another 2 run triple from Arauz.

Note: Adams is hitting .324 with 2 HR, 7 RBI over his last 10 games.
