NCAA Baseball: College World Series-Louisville vs Texas A&M Bruce Thorson-USA TODAY Sports

AAA: Fresno Grizzlies (12-4) won 12-4 (BOX SCORE)

The Grizzlies wasted no time getting ahead in this one getting 3 runs in the 2nd inning on a Garcia 2 run single and Kemp RBI single. They put up 4 more runs in the 3rd on a Federowicz RBI double, Mayfield 2 run double and another Kemp RBI single. In the 4th inning they put up another crooked number getting 5 runs on a Davis 3 run HR and Mayfield 2 run HR. Emanuel got the start and was very good allowing just a solo HR in his 5.2 innings of work while picking up 7 strikeouts.

Note: Kemp is hitting .410 with 8 RBI over his last 10 games.

AA: Corpus Christi Hooks (8-6) won 11-3 (BOX SCORE)

Nice offensive explosion for the Hooks. Jones got them on the board in the 4th with an RBI double. In the 5th they put up a 5 spot from a Straw sac fly, Alvarez 3 run double, and Jones RBI single. Hartman made the start for Corpus Christi and went 6 innings allowing 3 earned runs. The offense wasn’t finished though getting 2 runs in the 7th on Tanielu and Birk RBI singles and 3 runs in the 8th on an Alvarez groundout, Jones RBI single and Birk RBI single. Hill picked up the save with 3 no-hit innings.

Note: Alvarez is hitting .300 with 2 HR, 13 RBI over his last 10 games.

A+: Buies Creek Astros (11-5) won 8-2 (BOX SCORE)

Another nice win for Buies Creek, who are off to a great start. McCormick continued his hot hitting driving in Toro on an RBI single in the first. They put up 2 runs in the second on a Dawson RBI single and Rojas RBI double. In the 3rd inning they would score 4 more on a Sierra 2 run double, Dawson RBI single and another run scoring on an error. Adcock got the start and allowed 2 runs, 1 earned, over 4 innings of work. Rojas added a little insurance in the 7th with a solo HR, his first of the year. Martin closed out the game with 4 no-hit innings picking up 8 strikeouts.

Note: Martin has allowed 3 hits with 20 strikeouts in 14 innings this season.

No this score was not a typo. The River Bandits lost a football looking game last night. I won’t go into any details....

Note: Matijevic is slugging .529 this season in 9 games.
