AAA: Fresno Grizzlies (11-4) won 10-8 (BOX SCORE)
Crazy comeback for the Grizzlies last night. Armenteros made the start and was roughed up allowing 5 runs in 3 innings. He was relieved by Thome who allowed 2 more runs putting the Grizzlies down 7-0. Kemp got their comeback started with an RBI single in the 7th to get them on the board. In the 8th inning the Grizzlies would rally for 4 runs on a Davis RBI double, Kemmer RBI triple, Stubbs RBI single and Ferguson RBI single. Fresno entered the 9th down 7-5 but Reed tied the game on a 2 run HR. They weren’t finished though as they picked up 3 more runs on a Kemp RBI double and 2 more runs scoring on a wild pitch. McCurry allowed a run in the 9th but struck out the side to pick up the save.

Benedetti continued his hot hitting last night early driving in Straw with an RBI single in the first inning. The Hooks got an RBI single in the 4th and a solo HR from Taylor Jones in the 5th. Dykxhoorn made the start and gave up 2 earned runs in 5 innings. The game would go to the 8th tied at 3 but the Hooks would take a lead on a Cesar RBI double and Ritchie RBI single. Ferrell picked up the save getting the last 4 outs for the Hooks.

Some more late inning magic in the Astros system last night. Bailey started for the Astros last night and really racked up the strikeouts picking up 9 of them while allowing just 1 run in 4 innings. Dawson got the scoring started for Buies Creek with a solo HR to leadoff the 3rd inning. Trompiz added an RBI single in the 3rd to make it 2-1. Buies Creek would go down 4-2 temporarily until they rallied in the 7th for 4 runs thanks to a McCormick RBI double, Duarte RBI triple, and Robinson 2 run HR. Duarte added a 2 run double in the 9th for a little extra insurance. LaRue tossed 4 scoreless innings to close it out.

Great pitching duel in Quad Cities last night. Mushinski got the start for the River Bandits and went 4 innings allowing 1 unearned run while striking out 8. Almonte got the River Bandits on the board in the 2nd with an RBI double. The game would stay tied at until the 10th thanks to stellar outings from Corniel, Garcia, and McKee. In the 10th the River Bandits loaded the bases and Papierski scored on a walk-off wild pitch to win it 2-1.
