See how the Astros prospects performed last night

MLB: Houston Astros-Media Day Steve Mitchell-USA TODAY Sports

AAA: Fresno Grizzlies (10-4) lost 2-1 (BOX SCORE)

Tough luck loss for Fresno. Sneed got the start and was very good tossing 6 no hit innings before he was pulled (92 pitches). He left the game leading 1-0 after a White solo HR in the 6th. Sneed was relieved by Guduan who walked a batter and then allowed a 2 run HR as Las Vegas took the lead. This would be the only hit they had all night. Unfortunately, the Fresno offense was unable to score again and dropped this one despite out hitting LV 6-1.

Note: White is slugging .673 in 14 games this season.

AA: Corpus Christi Hooks (6-6) OFF

A+: Buies Creek Astros (9-5) won 9-0 (BOX SCORE)

Buies Creek pitching continues to dominate. The offense jumped out to an early lead and Buies Creek never looked back. In the 2nd inning the Astros put up 7 runs on a Payano 2 run single, Sierra 3 run HR, Toro RBI single, and Sieber RBI double. This was more than enough for Bielak, who got the start. Bielak conitnued his nice start to the season going 5.2 scoreless innings while picking up 5 strikeouts. Rojas added an RBI single in the 4th and Payano added a solo HR in the 6th to make it 9-0. Ferrell relieved Bielak and was just as dominant allowing only one hit in 3.1 scoreless innings with 6 strikeouts as he picked up the save.

Note: Bielak has 4 BB/19 K in 14 IP (1.29 ERA)
