See how the Astros prospects performed last night

MLB: Spring Training-Milwaukee Brewers at Houston Astros Troy Taormina-USA TODAY Sports

AAA: Fresno Grizzlies (10-3) won 11-4 (BOX SCORE)

Fresno jumped out to a huge lead in this one and never looked back. Ferguson got the scoring started with a 2 run HR in the first inning, his first HR of the season. The homer was followed up by a Kemmer RBI single, Stubbs RBI single, Kemp 2 run single, and Ferguson 2 run triple good for an 8 run first inning. Thornton got the start and struggled with his command a bit walking 4 and allowing 3 earned runs in 5.1 innings. Davis got in on the action with a solo HR in the 7th. Stubbs added a bit more insurance in the 9th with a 2 run double, giving him 3 RBI on the night. Dorris closed the game out with 2 scoreless innings.

Note: Kemp is hitting .405 with 12 BB, 5 SB over his last 10 games.

AA: Corpus Christi Hooks (6-6) lost 6-3 (BOX SCORE)

James was on the mound to start the game for the Hooks last night and he was dominant once again. He went 5 shutout innings allowing just 4 hits while striking out 7. Unfortunately, Valdez relieved him and struggled giving up 6 runs in just 3 innings of work. The Hooks tried to mount a little comeback on a Tanielu solo HR, Ritchie RBI double, and another run scoring on a wild pitch. This is all the offense would score though as they dropped this on 6-3.

Note: James has a 1.23 ERA with 2 BB/23 K in 13 innings this season.

A+: Buies Creek Astros (8-5) won 6-2 (BOX SCORE)

While the shutout streak was broken (32 consecutive innings), it was still a solid game for Buies Creek. Hector Perez got the start and was good allowing 1 run in 4.2 innings. He did walk 4 but also had 7 strikeouts. A 2 run single from Sieber and wild pitch got the Astros on the board in the 6th. McCormick added an RBI double and Trompiz added an RBI sinle in the 8th to add make it 6-2. Blanco pitched in relief of Perez and tossed 3.1 no hit innings picking up the win.

Note: Rojas is hitting .306 with 8 BB/3 SO, 6 SB over his last 10 games.

A: Quad Cities River Bandits (2-6) lost 6-2 (BOX SCORE)

Tough start to the season for the River Bandits. They got on the board in the first inning on a double steal when Bohanek was able to steal home (with Arauz stealing second base). They would get one more run in the 3rd on a bases loaded HBP. Javier was the starter and tossed 4 shutout innings with 6 strikeouts, though he walked 4. The bullpen struggled a bit with Ramirez and Sanabria each giving up 3 runs in the 8th as Peoria rallied to win it.

Note: Javier has 12 K in 8 shutout innings this season.
