AAA: Fresno Grizzlies (7-3) won 4-1 (BOX SCORE)

Armenteros got the start for Fresno last night and was very good. He went 7 innings allowing just 1 run while picking up 8 strikeouts. White got the Grizzlies on the board in the 4th on a sac fly to make it 1-1. The game would stay tied at 1 until the bottom of the 8th. In the 8th, Fresno got a go ahead RBI double from Tucker and a 2 run HR from White to make it 4-1. Thome closed out the game with two scoreless innings.

Note: White is hitting .378/1.157 with 3 HR, 9 RBI in 10 games this season.

AA: Corpus Christi Hooks (4-5) lost 11-6 (BOX SCORE)

Rough day for the Corpus Christi pitches last night. Quiala started the game and allowed 4 runs in 4.1 innings. He was relieved by Pinales who failed to record an out and was charged with 3 earned runs. Bostick relieved Pinales and allowed 4 earned runs himself in 3.2 innings. The Hooks first got on the board in the 3rd on De Goti and Tanielu RBI singles. They would pick up two more in the 6th on a Tanielu RBI double, Michelena RBI single and two more in the 7th on a Cesar 2 run double. Unfortunately, the initial deficit was too much to overcome.

Note: Straw has a .500 OBP and 8 SB in 9 games this season.

Sieber added some more insurance in the 8th with a 2 run double to make it 5-0. Balaguer relieved Adcock and tossed 3.2 no-hit innings. Ferrell closed it out with a perfect 9th inning to seal the win.
