AAA: Fresno Grizzlies (3-3) lost 13-0 (BOX SCORE)

Not many games go into the 7th inning tied 0-0 with one team eventually winning by double digits. Well that happened last night. Hauschild started for Fresno and tossed 6 shutout innings striking out 9. The offense really struggled managing just four hits. Ramsey allowed Tacoma to take a 2-0 but it would get worse. Tacoma put up 11 runs in the 9th inning to blow it open 13-0 and they picked up the win in Fresno’s home opener.

AA: Corpus Christi Hooks (2-4) lost 4-3 (BOX SCORE)

Unfortunate ending to a well played game for Corpus Christi. Josh James got the start and tossed 5 no hit innings with 9 strikeouts. He now has 16 K in 8 innings this season. Corpus got on the board in the 7th inning on a Yordan Alvarez solo HR, his first AA homer. The Hooks added two more runs in the 9th with a run scoring on a wild pitch and a Birk sac fly. The bullpen ran into trouble in the 9th inning though allowing 4 runs as Arkansas was able to walk it off.

A+: Buies Creek Astros (3-3) won 4-0 (BOX SCORE)

Abdiel Saldana made his season debut last night and was dominant tossing 6 shutout innings with 6 strikeouts. Anibal Siera got Buies Creek on the board in the 4th inning with a two out, two run double. Buies Creek added two more runs in the 5th on a Duarte RBI groundout and McCormick RBI single. This was more than enough for Saldana and the bullpen of Balaguer and Scheetz who helped toss a combined shutout.

Bukauskas made his season debut last night and while it didn’t go great, it wasn’t all terrible He allowed 2 runs in 3.2 innings and had 6 strikeouts, but he did walk 4. Mushinski was very good in relief tossing 3.1 scoreless innings with 5 strikeouts. The offense struggled scoring just 1 run on 2 hits as they dropped this one to Kane County.
