AAA: Fresno Grizzlies (3-2) won 11-5 (BOX SCORE)
The Fresno offense is rolling right now. They were scoreless through 3 innings but erupted for 5 runs in the 4th inning on a Reed RBI single, Federowicz RBI double, Kemmer sac-fly, an RBI groundout and a steal of home by Mayfield. Kent Emanuel got the start and pitched well allowing 1 run over 5 innings with 6 strikeouts.
The offense continued to score runs putting up 2 in the 6th on a Federowicz solo HR and bases loaded walk to Tucker. Mayfield added a 2 run HR in the 7th, his 3rd HR of the season. Kemmer capped off the scoring with a 2 run shot in the 9th. Guduan picked up the save tossing a scoreless 1.2 innings.

Cionel Perez made his season debut last night and while the overall line wasn’t great (4 runs in 4 IP), all 4 runs came in the 2nd inning. The offense tried to get something going with a Birk RBI single in the 4th and a solo HR from Carmen Benedetti, his first in AA. The bullpen didn’t fare much better giving up 4 runs in the final 4 innings. Benedetti would add an RBI single in the 9th inning but that would be it for the offense.

Corbin Martin made his season debut last night and he did not disappoint. The second round pick from last year went 4 innings allowing just 1 hit, 1 unearned run while striking out 7. The offense had a strong night too getting started in the 3rd with an RBI single from Ronnie Dawson. Buies Creek then scored 4 runs in the 4th on a bases loaded HBP , two bases loaded walks, and a wild pitch.
The offense would continue to put up runs in the 5th putting together a 6 spot with RBI hits from Duarte and Toro-Hernandez. Adcock pitched the last 4 innings allowing 2 hits and 2 runs, striking out 6. Toro-Hernandez would add a sac fly in the 7th to cap off their 12 runs on the night as Buies Creek won 12-5.

Quad Cities picked up their first win in dominating fashion last night. Yohan Ramirez made the start and went 5 innings allowing just 1 unearned run with 7 strikeouts. The offense went to work early. They got a run in the 2nd scoring on an error, a run in the 3rd on a Matijevic solo HR, and a run in the 4th on an Almonte RBI single.
The offense wasn’t done there though. In the 6th inning Corey Julks connected on a 2 run HR, his first HR of the season. The River Bandits would put up 6 runs in the 7th on a De La Cruz 2 run double, two runs scoring on an error, and a Matijevic 2 run HR (2nd of the game). Cristian Javier closed out the game tossing 4 scoreless innings with 6 strikeouts.
