First things first, some housekeeping: I’m sorry I wasn’t able to post a Crawfish Boil or even my scheduled Keuchel piece today. I still hope to get the Keuchel piece up, it’ll just be late this afternoon, maybe even the evening. Real life is a bear sometimes. Let’s all just use this piece as our conversation point for the day, if that’s okay with everybody. Thanks for your patience, dear readers.
Jake Kaplan announced via Twitter today that the Astros have made their first round of cuts at Spring Training for the year, reassigning eight players to Minor League camp:

IF Nick Tanielu
Obviously it’s a completely normal part of camp, and most or all of those guys likely had no real expectation of making the 25 man Opening Day roster.
