Spirits weren’t high coming back from Tampa Bay. Players, coaches, and staff had their hearts in Houston with Hurricane Harvey ravaging the city. But after a weekend series, the city of Houston showed its ability to rebound and the Astros support for the city.

The Astros completed a three-game sweep of the Mets with an 8-6 win on Sunday.

Crush City returned with a three-run home run from new Astro Cameron Maybin and George Springer — who had two home runs in the series.

Carlos Correa picked up a RBI in his first game back and Josh Reddick went 2-for-3 with three RBIs. Tyler White had two doubles.

For all the offensive success, the starting pitcher wasn’t as lucky. Mike Fiers didn’t endear himself to stay in the rotation. He allowed six earned runs on seven hits over 4 13 innings. Tyler Clippard, Will Harris, Luke Gregerson, and Chris Devenski combined to pitch 4 23 scoreless innings. Devenski collected a two inning save for his fourth of the season.
