The Astros are slowing gaining reinforcements for the playoffs and Houston got one of their biggest weapons back on Sunday.

The Astros activated shortstop Carlos Correa from the 10-day disabled list before Sunday’s game against the New York Mets.

Correa , 22, was playing at a high level when he tore a ligament in his hand attempting to score before the All-Star Break. He was batting .320 (104x325) with 20 home runs and 67 RBIs.

Correa batted .292 (7x24) with one double and RBIs in six rehab games with Double-A Corpus Christi and Triple-A Fresno.

The Astros have struggled without Correa in the lineup. The Astros were 20-22 without Correa in the lineup.
