The Astros won the Silver Boot on Monday and crushed the Rangers playoff hopes on Tuesday. Now the Astros go for the sweep on Wednesday.

The Astros send out Justin Verlander to face the Rangers for the third time in 2017. He had allowed eight earned runs over 13 innings in the two previous starts.

Verlander has been at another level with the Astros at 4-0 with a 0.64 ERA in four starts, allowing two earned runs over 28 innings.

Elvis Andrus is batting .308 (13x39) with two doubles against Verlander in his career. Carlos Gomez is batting .118 (2x17) with five strikeouts.

Nick Martinez goes for the Rangers, he is 0-1 with a 7.07 ERA in four games (two starts) in September.
