The Houston Astros will see their new starting rotation in Seattle against the Mariners. Dallas Keuchel will go Monday, Justin Verlander on Tuesday, and Lance McCullers Jr. on Wednesday, Astros manager A.J. Hinch announced Saturday.

Verlander, 34, makes his first start as an Astro riding in on a high. He is 4-1 with 2.36 ERA in six starts during the month of August. Verlander is 5-5 with a 3.95 ERA in 12 career starts at Safeco Field. Verlander last pitched on Aug. 30 with the Tigers.

McCullers returns to the Astros rotation after dealing with back discomfort, which put him on the DL two times in 2017. McCullers was 1-1 with a 5.63 ERA in two rehab starts with Double-A Corpus Christi and Triple-A Fresno. McCullers last pitched on Aug. 30 with Corpus, allowing two earned runs on five hits over five innings.

This isn't a bad for taste for a playoff rotation for the Astros.
