MLB: Spring Training-Houston Astros at Boston Red Sox Aaron Doster-USA TODAY Sports

AAA Fresno Grizzlies: Off Night

AA Corpus Christi Hooks: Rained Out

This game will be made up as part of a doubleheader later in the season, likely August 26 or 27 during the Hooks' final road series in San Antonio.

A+ Buies Creek Astros: Rained Out

With no further meetings between Buies Creek and Wilmington on the schedule, this game will not be made up.

A- Quad Cities River Bandits: 5-3 win over Burlington (LAA)

-> Ronnie Dawson: 2-for-4, 2B, 2 RBI

-> Kristian Trompiz: 1-for-1, RBI, R, 2 BB

-> Daz Cameron: 1-for-3, BB, SB, R

-> Osvaldo Duarte: 1-for-3, 2B, RBI, R

-> Josh Rojas: 1-for-4, 3B, R

-> Raymond Henderson: 1-for-4, RBI, R

-> Troy Sieber: 0-for-2, 2 BB

SP Dustin Hunt: 3.2 IP, 3 ER, 3 H, 4 BB, 7 K

RP Lucas Williams: 2.2 IP, 0 ER, 4 H, 4 BB, 2 K

RP Jesus Balaguer: 2.2 IP, 0 ER, 1 H, 1 BB, 2 K

At the end of play on June 25, Dawson was hitting .214/.308/.346. At the end of play of this game, he's hitting .275/.357/.453. He's in full-on Altuve mode, with an 11-game hitting streak during which time he's collected 21 hits in 44 at bats.

Cameron has cooled off over the last couple of weeks, but is still showing positive signs, like striking out just five times in his last 11 games.

Balaguer is an interesting guy. He's another recent Cuban pick up, and owns a 92-94 MPH heater. Good body at 6'4" and 195 lbs. The heater could tick up a bit as a reliever ultimately, but they may try him as a starter at some point if they can hammer out his command issues. Workhorse mid-rotation upside, though he needs work to get near there. He has a 0.45 ERA and 14.4 K/9 this year (20 IP across three levels).

SS Tri-City ValleyCats: 6-3 loss to Brooklyn (NYM)

-> J.J. Matijevic: 2-for-4, BB, RBI, 2 2B

-> Andy Pineda: 2-for-4

-> Corey Julks: 1-for-2, RBI, SB, 2 BB

-> Jake Adams: 1-for-3, BB, SB, R

-> Gabriel Bracamonte: 1-for-3, BB, R

-> Bryan De La Cruz: 1-for-5, RBI, R

SP Parker Mushinski: 2.0 IP, 4 ER, 6 H, 3 BB, 1 K (loss)

RP Alex House: 4.0 IP, 0 ER, 0 H, 0 BB, 3 K

RP Hunter Martin: 2.0 IP, 2 R (1 ER), 3 H, 2 BB, 1 K

First real rough start for Mushinski here. A 1.62 ERA prior to this game will inflate to 3.38. Walks have been an issue, and after this outing, he owns a 5.8 BB/9.

And Mushinski has been one of the few 2017 draftees who had been posting good numbers. Matijevic, a bat-first prospect, was showing life for a while, but has just four hits in his last seven games and is now hitting just .262.

And Adams has shown no signs of developing into a serious hitter so far. He's punched out 49 times in 31 games, and his strike out rate is in Telvin Nash territory at 37.1%. Worrisome.
