Over 41 innings Mike Fiers hadn’t given up a home run after giving up 18 home runs in his first 46 23 innings. The streak ended at 55 13 innings. Josh Donaldson took Fiers deep for a three-run home run en route to a 7-2 win for the Blue Jays.

Chris Devenski also was touched up for a three-run home run as well. Troy Tulowitzki took Devo deep to put the game out of reach.

While the offence for Houston wasn’t able to take advantage of a less-then-perfect Marcus Stroman. Stroman walked three batters but he also induced four double plays.

The offence came from the some of the usual suspects: George Springer and Marwin Gonzalez. Springer doubled in a run in the third and Gonzalez wrapped a ball around the pole in right field in the ninth inning.

The Astros will aim for a split and win No. 60 with Brad Peacock on the mound on Sunday.
