The Houston Astros have a few thoroughbreds in the bullpen right now with Francis Martes, Joe Musgrove, and Michael Feliz. And the team will likely add Brad Peacock to the bullpen with the return of Dallas Keuchel. Thus there will be a lack of space in the Astros bullpen soon.
The Astros added an outfielder Monday night to help with George Springer day-to-day with left quad strain.
Houston announced the team had optioned James Hoyt and recalled Derek Fisher.

Fisher, 23, played in the 2017 Futures Game during the All-Star break. He is batting .318 (109x343) with 21 home runs and 66 RBIs in 84 games with Triple-A Fresno. It is Fisher’s second stint with the Astros, he batted .278 (5x18) with two home runs and three RBIs in five games.
Hoyt, 30, has struggled this season with the Astros. He is 1-0 with a 5.54 ERA in 32 games. In July, he has allowed five earned runs over 8 1⁄3 innings.
