It was the best of times, it was the worst of times for Colin Moran during the series with Baltimore Orioles. First major league home run Friday and a facial fracture on Saturday.
The Houston Astros announced the team was placing Moran on the 10-Day disabled with a facial fracture. In a corresponding move, the Astros have called up infielder Tyler White from Triple-A Fresno.
IF Tyler White will be recalled from Triple A Fresno prior to today’s game.

Moran spent the night in the hospital and is also dealing with a concussion. But there is no timetable for his return. And this isn't even the first time Moran has had facial fracture:
Unfortunately for Moran, he's been through this before. In 2015 in AA, he broke his jaw when he was struck by a ball while sliding into 2B.

White returns to the Astros for the first time in 2017. White won a spot on the opening day roster in 2016 and earned AL Player of the Week honors in the opening week of the season. But he couldn't find the same spark for the rest of the season.
White is batting .299 (107x358) with 19 doubles, 19 home runs, and 69 RBIs in 91 games with Triple-A Fresno.
