Astros option Reymin Guduan to Triple-A ahead of McHugh start

Hoyt survives with lack of lefties.

After Friday's five-run outing, many Astros fans were calling for James Hoyt to be the one sent to Triple-A. Instead, the team announced that Reymin Guduan would take more ride on the yo-yo trip between Triple-A Fresno and Houston.

The Astros optioned Guduan Friday night to make room for Collin McHugh, who is making his first major league start in 2017.

Guduan appeared twice during his most recent stint with the Astros, allowing 2 hits over 1/3 of an inning. He is 0-0 with 7.88 ERA in nine games with the Astros in 2017.
