The series between Houston Astros and New York Yankees has felt like a playoff series at times. The Astros showed again on Saturday they can’t be counted even when trailing late.

The Astros will send Mike Fiers in the rubber match. Mike Fiers has been a completely different pitcher from the beginning of the season and now. Fiers allowed 18 home runs in his first 46 2/3 innings and he hasn't allowed a home run in his past 37 innings entering Sunday.

Fiers faces the Yankees for the second time in 2017. He allowed four runs over 5 2/3 innings, striking out seven while walking two. He gave up two home runs in the game on May 14.

Luis Severino is 1-1 with a 3.55 ERA in five starts during the month of June. He faces the Astros for the second in 2017, he pitched only 2 1/3 innings. The Astros worked Severino to 77 pitches through 2 1/3 innings. He allowed three runs on six hits.
