Astros recall LHP Reymin Guduan

Houston announces replacement for Will Harris.

MLB: Houston Astros at Seattle Mariners Steven Bisig-USA TODAY Sports

The Houston Astros announced that Will Harris was placed on 10-Day Disabled List on Friday, creating a spot on the 25-man roster.

Houston announced the corresponding move before Saturday's game with the call up of left-handed pitcher Reymin Guduan.

It is already the third time that Guduan has been called up to the major league club in 2017 (May 31, June 23).

Guduan, 25, has an 8.22 ERA in seven games with the Astros. He has allowed seven earned runs on 10 hits over 7 2/3 innings—striking out eight and four walks.

He is 5-4 with a 4.82 ERA in 28 appearances with Triple-A Fresno this season. He has struck out 39 and walked 11 in 37 1/3 innings.

Harris is on the 10-Day Disabled List on Friday night retroactive on July 11. Expect Guduan's stint to be only a week, if that. The team is playing it safe with Harris' arm.
