The ecosystem of sports broadcasts continues to change with the evolution of streaming options. Houston Astros fans know well about what it’s like to be on the wrong side of an RSN deal. But Astros for at least one night won’t have a problem being able to see the Astros on stream.
Tonight’s Astros-Twins game will be broadcast live on Facebook without blackout restrictions. Here is a link to the stream.
Facebook will be broadening a game every Friday during the season. Here are some other notes from Facebook:
- Facebook and MLB have finalized a partnership to stream a weekly national game telecast on Facebook.
- These weekly Facebook Live broadcasts will air on Friday nights this season and will be accessible to everyone on Facebook in the U.S.
- Each week, the broadcast on Facebook will be a feed from a participating team's local broadcast rights holder.
The games each Friday will be available on the official MLB Facebook Page (www.facebook.com/mlb).
