AAA: Fresno Grizzlies (35-36) won 10-4 Boxscore
The Grizzlies pounded three home runs on their way to a 10-4 victory over the El Paso Chihuahuas.
Colin Moran hit his 15th home run of the season, part of a 2-4, five RBI performance. Moran is hitting .326 over his last ten games with six home runs and eighteen RBI. Tyler White went 2-5 with three runs scored, a home run, and two RBI. Tony Kemp went 4-5 out of the lead off spot with two runs scored and a stolen base.
David Martinez earned the victory for Fresno, working six strong innings allowing two earned runs on six hits and a walk while striking out three.
AA: Corpus Christi Hooks (34-36) won 3-2 Boxscore
Single runs in the first, third and fifth innings proved enough offense to sneak the Hooks past the San Antonio Missions 3-2 on Monday night.
Jason Martin continued his strong play since his promotion to Double AA, going 2-4 with his third home run at the new level and two RBI. Kyle Tucker also hit a solo home run for the Hooks.
Hooks starter pitched Yoanys Quiala pitched six solid innings, limiting the Missions to two runs on four hits and two walks. Quiala struck out eight Missions batters in his six innings of work. Andrew Thome pitched a perfect ninth inning with two strike outs for a save.
