Houston Astros second baseman Jose Altuve is well known for his size. Altuve stands at 5’6” or maybe even a little shorter. But every inch of Altuve is filled with power as Altuve showed on Saturday against the Red Sox.
Altuve already had a RBI in the game, entering his second at-bat of the game in the third inning. He led off the bottom of the third and blasted a 1-0 slider high up the wall in left center field. The ball cleared the wall and the train atop the Minute Maid Park wall.
Statcast measured the home run at 428 feet. He hit was at a 35-degree angle and 106.2 MPH exit velocity.
The home run helped push the Astros lead over the Red Sox to 4-0 and eventually helped level the series with Boston at one game each with a 7-1 victory.
The Astros will be back on national T.V. with ESPN Sunday Night Baseball.
