What now?
The Houston Astros lost another player on Monday night. Outfielder Josh Reddick exited the game after crashing into the wall in right field, attempting to catch a flyball from Joey Gallo in the second inning.
It was that kind of night for the Astros in a 6-1 loss in game one against the Rangers.
The Rangers once again used Yu Darvish to dominate in Minute Maid Park. He allowed only one hit over seven innings. Darvish was 4-1 with a 2.16 ERA in six career starts at Minute Maid Park.
The Astros' one run came in the fifth inning after Carlos Beltran led off with a walk. He moved to second on a ground out and scored on an Alex Bregman single.
Nomar Mazara blew the game open in the eight innings with a three-run home run off Dayan Diaz.
Joe Musgrove only went 4 2/3 innings in the return to the starting rotation. He threw 75 pitches, striking out two and walking one.
