For the few, the proud, the old guard of The Crawfish Boxes, the MLB Draft is the best time of the year. Astros general manager Jeff Luhnow and his staff wave their wands and give Houston fans new toys to project upon.

The core of the Astros was built through the draft: George Springer, Dallas Keuchel, Carlos Correa, Lance McCullers, and Alex Bregman. Draft picks have also turned into key pieces for the Astros: Evan Gattis, Jake Marsnick, Francis Martes, and Ken Giles. The draft has created historic depth in the Astros system: Tony Kemp, Colin Moran, Tyler White, A.J. Reed, Jodan Jankowski, and Brady Rodgers. It also has created the weapons of the future with Forrest Whitley, Derek Fisher, Kyle Tucker, and Daz Cameron.

Now it’s time to follow along for 2017 Draft:
