Mike Fiers has been all over the place in 2017. He was sent to the bullpen for one game and now he’s been on a campaign to prove he belongs in the starting rotation. Fiers then a season-high for Astros starting pitchers on Saturday for a game score with a mark of 78.

Fiers guided the Astros to a 3-1 win over the Angels. He allowed only one run on two hits over 7 1/3 innings, striking out eight and walking two.

Brian McCann got the Astros on the board in the second inning with his ninth home run of the season. McCann helped get another run in the fifth inning. He led off the bottom of the frame with a hit-by-pitch. McCann moved to third on a Marwin Gonzalez single and scored on a sacfrice fly.

Both teams would score a run in the eighth inning. Josh Reddick hit a one-out double and scored on a Carlos Correa single.
