Kyle Tucker, Jason Martin promoted to Double-A; Dean Deetz promoted to Triple-A

Astros make big moves in the minor leagues.

The Houston Astros will add some somewhere around 30-40 prospects into the system from the draft. Now the Astros need to make space for said prospects.

The Astros have started moving up their top prospects up in the system. Outfielder Kyle Tucker and Jason Martin have been moved up to Double-A Corpus Christi — first reported by Corpus Christi KIII's Ian Steele.

RHP Dean Deetz has been moved up to Triple-A Fresno, first reported by TCB staffer writer Astros Future.

Tucker, 20, is the No. 2 prospect on the TCB Top 30 Prospect list. He has batted .288 (51x177) with nine home runs, 43 RBIs, and .932 OPS in 48 games with Single-A Buies Creek. Tucker was the fifth overall pick in the 2015 MLB draft out of Tampa Bay Plant High School.

Martin, 21, batted .287 (50x174) with seven home runs, 29 RBIs, nine stolen bases, and .848 OPS in 46 games in Buies Creek. He is the No. 12 prospect on the TCB Top 30 Prospect list. Martin was an eighth round pick in the 2013 draft.

Deetz has been stellar in Corpus Christi with a 4-2 record and a 1.82 ERA in eight games. He has struck out 42 and walked nine in 39 2/3 innings. Deetz was the No. 30 prospect on TCB Top 30 List.
