The Astros were down to the bare minimum with options in the outfield for a minute with George Springer and Jake Marisnick sidelined. Springer returned last week, and now its Marisnick’s turn.
The Astros activated Marisnick from the disabled list on Monday after optioning Tony Kemp to Triple-A Fresno.

Marisnick, 26, missed six games after crashing into the wall in a game against the Tampa Bay Rays. He caught a Logan Morrison line drive on the run and faceplanting into a padded concrete wall at full speed.
He was batting .286 (6x21) with two home runs and two RBIs in 17 games with the Astros to start the season.
Marisnick had two rehab games with Double-A Corpus Christi. He was 3-for-7 with a double and a home run. He had no walks and two strikeouts.
Marisnick is not in the starting lineup in game one against the Rangers but available off the bench.
