Everything clicked for the Astros on Opening Day.

The Houston Astros organization reopened Minute Maid Park with a new center field for Opening Day. But the was the same old result for the Astros.

Dallas Keuchel on the mound and home runs from George Springer and Carlos Correa helped the Astros collect to a 3-0 victory on Monday night in Houston. The Astros have now won all five Opening Day since moving to the American League.

The Astros would get the winning run in the bottom of the first inning. George Springer got all of a Felix Herandez 2-1 sinker for his 10th leadoff home run — Springer became the second Astros to hit a leadoff home run on opening day and it was third time in team history. He joins Terry Puhl (1978, 1980).

Carlos Correa would add the Astros other runs.

Correa cranked a 449-foot home run in the fourth. The Astros got runners on the corners in the sixth with a walk to Alex Bregman and single by Jose Altuve (with Bregman going first to third). Correa hit a sacrifice fly to score Bregman.

Dallas Keuchel wasn’t perfect but did exactly what he needed on Monday night. He worked out of a bases-loaded jam in the fourth and had five one-two-three innings.

Luke Gregerson and Ken Giles combined to pick up a hold and a save respectively.

The Astros now 1-0. Wooo.
