It was a nightmare flashback to the crashes of Carlos Lee and Adam Everett and tumble of Jimmy Paredes and Jose Altuve. This time it was Astros outfielder Teoscar Hernández slammed into all-star second baseman Jose Altuve.
It was the eighth inning, Indians' Yan Gomes flipped a pitch into no man's land. Teoscar Hernández raced into to right and Jose Altuve went back facing the outfield wall. The both came on a full sprint and crashed. Both were slow to get up.
Altuve was able to walk off under his own power while Hernandez was carted off the field. George Springer entered the game in center field. Marwin Gonzalez replaced Altuve at second base.
Astros manager A.J. Hinch reported that Hernandez didn't have a concussion and had left knee contusion. While Jose Altuve is slated to return to the lineup on Wednesday. Because he's Altuve.
No concussion for Altuve, per Hinch. Left knee contusion for Hernandez. He was in "a lot of pain," Hinch said.

Altuve on if he'll play tomorrow: "Most likely. I think we still have to wait until tomorrow, but I have a good chance to play tomorrow."
