Astros place Jake Marisnick on concussion DL; call up Teoscar Hernandez

The Astros have to make their first official roster move of the 2017 regular season.

Astros outfielder Jake Marisnick gave his all when Logan Morrison hit a rocket to dead center field at Tropicana Field. It resulted in Marisnick crashing into a padded brick wall to catch the baseball.

Marisnick was later diagnosed with a mild concussion and was cleared to travel the Astros to Cleveland. But Houston has placed Marsinick on the concussion 7-day disabled list and the team has called up Teoscar Hernandez.

Hernandez was batting .250 (14x56) with four home runs and 15 RBIs with Triple-A Fresno. It will be the second stint for Hernandez with the team after playing 41 games with the Astros last season.

Marisnick's DL stint is retroactive to Monday, and he'll be able to return for the Astros' May 1 series against the Rangers. Marisnick did light work before Tuesday's game with manager A.J. Hinch onlooking.
