Houston Astros center fielder George Springer isn't your typical leadoff hitter. Springer has the power to put up 30 home runs in a season, a tool rarely found with the No.1 spot in the lineup.
But Springer has taken it to another level to start the 2017 season. Springer has now hit three leadoff home runs including his solo blast on Sunday against the Royals.
Springer has come the first player in MLB history to hit three leadoff home runs in his team’s first seven games ever...EVER. The only one in all of baseball history.
In total, Springer has four home runs. Oh yeah, the other home run it was walk-off, game-winning, final strike, three-run home run.
Springer is tied for the major league lead in home runs through seven games with Royals catcher Salvador Perez — who also hit a home run on Sunday.

The rest of MLB has 5 combined.
George Springer has 4 home runs in 7 games and is on a pace to hit 93. That would blow your mind, wouldn't it? @Astros
