Another night of minor league play is in the books with all four minor league teams in action. See how the teams and prospects performed last night.

AAA: Fresno Grizzlies (3-1) won 5-3 (BOX SCORE)

The Grizzlies got this game started off very well scoring four times in the bottom of the first. Reed started the scoring with a 2 run double, then Moran and White added RBI singles to make it 4-0. In the 3rd inning, the Grizzlies got another run when Brignac drove in Reed with an RBI single. Frias got the start going 4.1 innings allowing 2 runs. Tolliver and West pitched the middle innings to keep the game close. With Hoyt unavailable tonight (pitched in two prior games), Perez came on to pick up the save. Reed is off to a nice start hitting .333 with 3 extra base hits and 5 walks in the first four games.

A+: Buies Creek Astros (4-0) won 2-0 (BOX SCORE)

Franklin Perez made his season and High-A debut yesterday and just 19 years old and he didn't disappoint. He went 5.1 innings allowing just 1 hit and striking out 5 (though he walked three). Josh Norris of BA was there and said he was sitting 92-94 MPH and flashing a good curve. Birk led off the second inning with a solo HR to give Buies Creek a 1-0 lead. They would get one more in the 4th when McCall doubled and eventually scored on a wild pitch. That was all they would need though as Garza relieved Perez and was just as dominant finishing the game with 3.2 scoreless innings.

A: Quad Cities River Bandits (2-2) won 18-11 (BOX SCORE)

Crazy game in the Midwest League as both teams committed four error each. The River Bandits got off to a good start when Johnson hit a grand slam in the first inning. Britton started for QC and got roughed up a bit allowing 4 runs in 4 innings. Quad Cities would get another grand slam in the 5th, this time from Daz Cameron. They added another run in the 5th on a Robinson groundout. Wisconsin battled back though tying the game at 10 before Quad Cities blew it open in the 8th. In that inning, the River Bandits scored 7 times on a DeGoti RBI single, four runs scoring on errors, and a Wrenn 2 run HR. For a little extra insurance, Cameron added another HR in the 9th, his second of the game.
