The Houston Astros active roster don’t have many questions entering opening day when it comes to position players. That fact was reflected in the Astros roster moves on Tuesday, general manager Jeff Luhnow announced that OF Teoscar Hernandez, IF Colin Moran, IF A.J. Reed, and IF Tyler White have been assigned to minor league camp.

Hernandez, 24, made his major league debut in 2016 — batting .230 (23x100) with four home runs and 11 RBIs in 41 games. He batted .307 (130x423) with 10 home runs and 53 RBIs in 107 games between Triple-A Fresno and Double-A Corpus Christi.

Moran, 24, arguably had the most impressive Spring Training among Astros prospects this season. He batted .389 with two home runs and 10 RBIs. Reed, 23, batted .306 (11x36) with four home runs and 11 RBIs.

White, 26, opened the 2016 season with the Major League club, winning Player of the Week to open the season but pitchers figured him out shortly after. He batted .231 (9x39) with a home run and two RBIs.

The Astros major camp is down to 40 players.
