Jose Martinez hits 4th spring homer for Cards |
WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. -- Alberto Rosario hit a go-ahead RBI single in a two-run seventh inning and Jose Martinez hit his fourth homer of the spring as the Cardinals rallied for a 12-6 win over the Astros on Monday night at The Ballpark of the Palm Beaches. Martinez, who launched a two-run blast in the fourth inning, scored on Greg Garcia's inside-the-park homer in the eighth inning. Martinez and Garcia added RBI singles in a four-run ninth as they both finished 2-for-3 with three RBIs.

Astros' Charlie Morton solid in 4-inning outing - Houston Chronicle
Veteran righthander Charlie Morton was solid in his Saturday start, surrendering two unearned runs in four innings in the Astros' 5-4 victory over the Washington Nationals. Morton, who signed a two-year, $14 million contract with the Astros in November after having his 2016 season with the Philadelphia Phillies limited to four starts by a hamstring injury, allowed three hits and a walk while striking out seven. With a spring ERA of 1.38, Morton has solidifed his status as the Astros' No. 4 starter.
