Carlos Correa makes a ridiculous diving stop against Team U.S.A.

Correa doesn’t look half bad at the hot corner.

Carlos Correa is the questioned man at shortstop for the Houston Astros.

But Correa put the team above himself for his home country Puerto Rico in the World Baseball Classic. Correa moved over to third base to make for Indians shortstop Francisco Lindor — the player Correa beat out for the 2015 Rookie of the Year award.

Correa has been able to hold his own at the hot corner and Puerto Rico is 5-0 in the tournament and qualified the championship pool with a 6-5 win over Team U.S.A. last night.

That fact was exemplified with Rockies third baseman Nolan Arenado at the plate Friday. Arenado rocketed ball toward Correa at third, who did his best Brooks Robinson impression — snagging the ball out before it became a double.

The 2017 MLB season hasn’t even started and Correa is already dropping web gems. Can the season hurry up and get here?
